What is the Simpsons Slots?
the Simpsons Slots is a shareware slot machine game for the Macintosh based upon characters from The Simpsons. It’s the Macintosh’s premiere slot machine and the only one worth playing. It features:
-3 reels
-a maximum of 10 rows
-12 different characters
-digitised speech & music
-high quality graphics
Playing the Game
-This program requires a 256 color, 640x480 (or larger screen) and System 7.0. It will run on either an original or PowerPC Mac (and yes, it is accelerated for Power Macintosh).
-If QuickTime 2.0 is available then the Simpsons theme song will play at start-up (however this is not necessary).
-On the main screen is a slider to control how fast the reels will spin, on my Mac LC575 (an ’040) a setting of 100% runs quite well - on a Power Mac it’s probably best to set it to 50% and on an ’030 machine 200% would be best.
-To resume an old game click on the name of the game in the hi-score table.
-Once on the playing screen, simply choose the amount you wish to bet per row and the number of rows to use. Then click the “Just D’oh it” button to send the reels rolling.
-If you have trouble running ‘the Simpsons Slots’ on your computer, try increasing the applications memory size (especially if you are using a Power Mac). NOTE: You will encounter an error if you try to launch the program by double-clicking the score or soundtrack file. Double-click the application instead.
Why Did You Make This Game?
I made ‘the Simpsons Slots’ because I am a fan of the Simpsons and could not find a slot machine game for the Mac that had good graphics, sound and gameplay - hopefully ‘the Simpsons Slots’ combine all these elements.
How Can I Register This Game?
At the moment registration for ‘the Simpson Slots’ can only be done through the mail. Standard Registration costs $US 10.00 or $Aus 10.00 and can be paid with either cheque or money order (please make cheques payable to Matthew Bickham). Please give your name and preferably your email address when registering and I’ll send you information on how to increase the amount of money that you start with in the game (plus several other hidden cheats).

‘the Simpsons Slots’ Distribution
All distribution of ‘the Simpsons Slots’ must include the application, this readMe file, the version History file and the ‘the Simpsons On The Net’ file. ‘the Simpsons Slots’ may be distributed electronically (i.e. across the net or online services) as long as no fee is charged for the actual program. Furthermore feel free to give copies of ‘the Simpsons Slots’ to friends etc. The program may also be distributed free of charge on magazine cover disks. If you wish to distribute ‘the Simpsons Slots’ on CD-ROM shareware collections it is asked that the organisation first Register the game at the standard rate - however other arrangements can be made by emailing the author at the address below.
